Hiding above the craft beer joint Hair Of the Dog is a pancake enthusiasts dream, Breakfast Story. The all-day brunch haven serves up big portioned American style food with an extensive lineup of classics. The intimate little venue is open every day 7 am - 11 pm in Ploen Chit and Phrom Pong. It's a homely, comfortable setting with big portions to make you feel like you are eating at a friends house.

Coffee, being the first thing on most peoples mind, is looked after well here. The beans are sourced from the well known Pacamara roastery which they use for their 18-hour cold brew or their bottomless American style drip. Yes, we said bottomless! Much of the coffee on the menu is served by cold extraction which is explained because of the delicious flavour compounds and less volatile fatty acids only found through this process.

The menu at Breakfast Story reads like a book with an introduction and 14 chapters including 'Satisfying Sandwiches', 'Great Eggspectations' and 'The Stacks of Life'. They recommend starting the meal some fresh berries and their homemade maple, pecan, coconut granola. Before moving on to one of their porridge bowls followed by either a Huge Omelette [240฿] or 2 fried/scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, country potatoes, country potatoes and texas toast [200฿].

However, many people come straight for their delicious fluffy pancakes. Breakfast Story source all the best ingredients including high-quality maple syrup to drizzle. The custardy stacks are always served with real butter and choices of crispy bacon or smoked salmon and avocado.

To make this menu even better they have loaded sandwiches such as the Grilled Mac and Cheese [280฿] and you can wash it all down with a sweet treat like a PB & J Smoothie [150฿] or a boozy Bloody Mary classically made with celery saltt, Worcestershire sauce and a variety of pickles.
