Odtomato is the Aussie restaurant we've been looking for from the mind of Gavin Vongkusolkit. Gavin, also known as 'Od' is of Glowfish and Kuppa Deli and his new spot is a hearty addition to Sukhumvit's already hefty line up of great eats.
The open kitchen serves up scrumptious Aussie dishes with quality ingredients a priority. As you listen to live jazz amongst the wood-panelled furnishings you can dig into one of the Best Beef Wellingtons [1,490฿] in town. The signature dish uses prime Ohira beef and pairs beautifully with their Cauliflower Mash [179฿] side. For pescatarians, a Norweigian Salmon Wellington [490฿] with creole meuniere is an option.
To coincide with the name of the building you will find complimentary, bright plump tomatoes served with a simple side of salt. Oher dishes we certainly enjoyed are the baked Snow Fish [775฿] with cauliflower, garlic chilli, and ginger jus. And the delicious sticky Mum's Date Pudding [300฿], with butterscotch and creme fraiche, is such a great way to end the meal. A great range of pasta and pizza is also available with delectable toppings such as lobster bisque, truffle cheese or beef wagyu featuring.
It's not just feel-good dinners that make Odtomato stand out though. Their Brunch menu is worth a visit for their Buttermilk Flapjack [285฿] with butter and Canadian maple syrup. Or their gut-busting Big Boy Breakfast [385฿] with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms and avocado is a show stopper.
Odtomato is a standout for any time of the day and we feel confident in their beverage menu which includes a great range of bottled wines, cocktails from their bar and even their own flavoured kombucha. For those who don't drink 6 well-crafted mocktails are available such as the Sunshine, cinnamon, pineapple, passion fruit[150฿]. We included Odtomato in our list of Bangkok's Best Brunch in 2020 which you can read about here.
