In a remote environment, Soneva Kiri's design, architecture, and service stimulate an indigenous feeling while offering luxury of the highest international standard. It is located on Koh Kood, Thailand's fourth-largest, but least developed island. Guests will be taken back to a remote and untouched Thailand of centuries ago by the tropical rainforests, breathtaking waterfalls, and traditional village life. Designed with ecologically sustainable principles and utilizing environmentally friendly materials, the resort was constructed using methods tailored to protect the environment.
There are a number of dining options available at Soneva Kiri, all characterized by fresh ingredients and simple, clean flavours. The resort offers a range of dining options including restaurants, bars, and private picnics on Koh Kood. A renowned restaurant, Kruua Mae Tuk, sits among the mangroves encircling the Klong Yai Kee waterfall in a traditional wooden structure. Chef Tuk's large range of Thai meals is inspired by foods grown on Koh Kood or neighbouring Koh Chang, as well as seafood caught by local fishermen, and served with a "no-menu" dining concept.
