Toby's is one of Bangkok most loved brunch spots with its light airy space and Australian style breakfasts. The sun-drenched cafe sits down Sukhumvit 38, a short walk from the Thonglor BTS Sky Train. Toby's brings the crowds visiting for their cold-pressed juices and coffee selection. Just under new ownership, the menu here, and at their sister location of Sala Daeng, has undergone a few changes. However, it stays true to full hearty and egg-centric brunches for you to enjoy.
The menu is divided into three sections. Egg & Bread, Fruit & Grain and Toast. From the Egg & Bread section, one of the items we are glad to see kept is the Roasted Pumpkin & Scrambled Egg [320฿]. complete with sourdough, bacon bits, goats cheese and dill. For those on a health kick we recommend the nutrient-packed Banners Bowl [320฿]. Kale and avocado salsa are paired alongside beetroot, grilled chicken breast, cranberry and sumac.
For those with a sweet tooth, we love to go for Banana and Almond Butter Toast [250฿] with walnut and honey. Or, their famous Crispy French Brioche Toast [280฿] served alongside fresh berries and vanilla ice cream.
The Dinner menu has a tasty selection of small plates and some epic sourdough pizza's to choose from. we chose the Salmon Ponzo [270฿] in truffle sauce and the Chicken Jalapeno [240฿] with their garlic and mayo. The pizza range has classic toppings like smokey ham and mushroom or spicy pepperoni all priced reasonably at [320฿] expect for the margarita at [280฿]
Toby's is a safe bet for any time of day with their beautifully plated dishes and focus on high-quality beverages. We love to visit her after a gym session for one of their gym junkie smoothies like the acai berry, banana, mixed berry, yoghurt and chia seed. Or one of the lip-smacking banana, date and walnut smoothies! Overal Toby's is one of top picks for brunch and dining in the Sukhumvit area, especially due to its easy location which makes you feel like you left the city for a bit.
