One Love, One Slice

Tony’s, the American-Italian restaurant in the heart of Sukhumvit 11, has launched a campaign to help those in need in Bangkok through their pizza for charity campaign. As a way of raising money for local charities, executive chef Anthony Burd has invited his media friends and fellow chefs in the city to create a variety of limited edition pizza toppings.

By now, most people will know the pizzas are pretty epic at Tony’s. Because of their wood-fire oven, they are able to produce rustic, light and crispy pizza bases topped with flavoursome, aromatic ingredients.

Now, Tony’s will host 8 rounds of Chefs and Media to show off their own pizza creations!

Each round will last 1 week  in which the respective Chef’s and Media’s pizzas will be available to the public at Tony’s. At the end of each week, the Chef and Media will decide on which charity they would like to donate their proceeds to. Tony’s will donate 25% of Sales to the Charity of the Chefs and Media Choice. This means that a total of 8 local charities will be donated to supporting the city that has just gone through a tough time.

Round one featured Chef duo Michele Goh and Pongcharn ‘Top’ Russel of Mia Restaurant who pair up with Lisa Gries from Lifestyle Asia where they both came up with some tasty anchovy inspired pizza toppings to raise funds for Paws Bangkok, an animal rescue centre.

The second exciting limited edition creations featured Chef Willy of El Willy Kitchen and Jeninne St John of Travel +Leisure South East Asia are here to take on the challenge! Both are taking inspiration form their heritage with Jeninne’s pizza being a Prosecco marinated white clam pie and Chef willy making a spicy chorizo, pesto and burrata recipe. Proceeds from this week will be going to Covid Aid Thailand.

And starting from Wednesday 2nd we have Chef Deepanker Khosla and Editor in Chief Raghav Sachdev of Masala Magazine bringing in their Indian cuisine.

This is a truly exciting campaign with 5 more rounds of chefs, media and delicious pizza toppings all in aid to truly help people around Bangkok.
