An annual event that gathers Thailand’s top chefs for a good cause, the 11th edition of the Bangkok Chef Charity Fundraising Gala Luncheon will be taking place on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Royal Ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, and will be presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The charity event is being organised by Jivanand Company Limited and will feature, for the first time in its history, 11 Michelin-starred restaurants, in addition to top hotels in Bangkok and Hong Kong and three leading culinary academies in Bangkok. A total of 30 chefs will craft a 10-course tasting menu for 360 guests on February 17.
All proceeds from the upcoming event will be donated to hospitals under the Debaratana Vejjanukula Foundation under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness. The previous edition in 2019 (which was followed by a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic) helped raised an unprecedented 44 million baht for underprivileged schools in remote areas of Northern Thailand. The charity gala in the coming months hopes to continue its fundraising trajectory for Thai hospitals.
