Located on the ninth floor of the luxurious Park Hyatt Bangkok, Embassy Room – Catalan Cuisine has become the culinary consulate of Catalonia, as Bangkok’s one and only Catalan fine dining restaurant. Opened in the fall of 2022, the venue was quick to attract recognition from established local F&B publications. In terms of aesthetics, the restaurant boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the posh Phloen Chit neighbourhood. Interiors are soft and sophisticated in colours with sleek and crisp lines, allowing for the focus to be on the charismatic cuisine and dining company. An open kitchen welcomes diners to watch as interpretations of traditional Catalan dishes are being prepared by the expert hands of Embassy Room – Catalan Cuisine’s knowledgeable crew.

In charge of the kitchen is Catalonia-born head chef Ferran Tadeo, formerly executive chef of Catalunya and La Rambla in Hong Kong. Chef Ferran brings with him to the Park Hyatt Bangkok his native Catalan heritage and experience running Michelin-starred restaurants, so rest assured you’re in safe hands at Embassy Room – Catalan Cuisine. For the menu, Chef Ferran has created nostalgic and emotional cuisine, derived from family recipes and his memories of his home country.

“The inspiration for my dishes comes from remembering dishes from my childhood. Some of them are dishes I loved to eat, while others have been part of my career,” says the chef, inviting diners to come and experience the unique flavours, textures, and stories of Catalan cuisine, especially those who have yet to encounter this specific food culture.

At the moment, Embassy Room – Catalan Cuisine offers an exciting “Tradició i Evolució” (Tradition and Evolution) flagship tasting menu, which consists of five appetisers, two “bites” and two “dishes”, one “sea” and one “land” dish, and two desserts. There’s also the lighter lunch menu, “Dinar”, featuring three appetisers, a “bite” and a “dish”, a choice of a “land” or “sea” main, and one dessert. Of course, wine pairing is highly recommended with over 120 Spanish labels available at Embassy Room – Catalan Cuisine. À la carte options are also available for a more flexible and casual dining experience.
